Mr. Harnetiaux joined PineBridge in 2017 as a Senior Vice President in Americas Business Development with a focus on providing strategic investment solutions to a broad range of insurance companies. He was previously a Director, Business Development at Brightwood Capital Advisors. Prior to that he served as a Portfolio Manager at Kemper Corporation and ran their alternative investments program. Mr. Harnetiaux holds a BS in Finance from The University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Eric Kieras is a Managing Director at JZ Partners, LLC, a private investment firm with offices in Chicago and New York. JZ Partners and its affiliates have closed more than 300 transactions worldwide over the past 40 years, investing out of a closed-end fund with more than $1.0 billion in capital under management. Investing from of a permanent capital base provides the necessary flexibility to work alongside management in order to build business value through a responsible capital structure and under an appropriate timeline. As a result, JZ Partners invests almost exclusively in family and founder-owned businesses. JZ Partners has established a track record of executing on sector-focused, buy-and-build investment strategies, partnering with existing management teams of niche market leaders, and adding value through financial, operational and M&A expertise. Mr. Kieras is responsible for the sourcing, evaluation and execution of investments conducted by JZ Partners. His involvement includes investment strategy development, transaction structuring and negotiation, due diligence, and portfolio company oversight. Prior to joining JZ Partners in 2008, Mr. Kieras worked as an investment banker, most recently for the Plastics and Packaging team at P&M Corporate Finance, LLC, a regional investment bank focused on middle-market businesses. Mr. Kieras graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Ian represents the third generation of his family's business. Their legacy business, CRST International, is one of the largest privately held trucking companies in America. He has served on the board of directors of Hillcrest Holdings since 2012, and assumed the executive role of Vice President in 2017 when they began diversifying their family’s holdings through direct investments into other operating businesses.
Ian received his MBA from Cornell University's Johnson School of Business where he graduated with distinction, and a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University.
Ian has also served on the board of directors of CRST International in addition to the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre.
John Martin leads LDI’s acquisition and development activities as VP of Corporate Development. He joined LDI in 2013 and is responsible for initiating platform investment opportunities, structuring and negotiating transactions, supervising due diligence and supporting the strategic acquisition efforts of LDI operating companies.
John has over twelve years of M&A experience. John previously worked at Mason Wells, where he supported the firm’s investment activities and worked with portfolio company management teams to achieve value creation objectives. He began his career in the investment banking group of Robert W. Baird & Co. focusing on buy-side and sell-side M&A advisory assignments.
John earned his MBA from Indiana University and a B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois. He serves on the Board of KIPP Indy Public Schools and on the Board of ACG Indiana.
Michael Schopin has been a principal investor for more than 15 years. During this time, Michael has been leading private investment transactions on behalf of ultra-high net worth individuals and families where he has been instrumental in founding and growing three separate private investment efforts. Zenfinity Capital was founded by Kevin Easler, the co-founder of Sprouts Farmers Market, to identify, finance, and develop the growth of promising better for your businesses in retail, food and beverage. Michael has completed more than 40 private transactions during his career across a variety of industries.
