Nick is a Principal at Clearview Capital and is responsible for originating private equity investments for the firm. He joined Clearview in 2012 after working at Barclays Capital in the Global Industrial Group and at a PE-backed biotechnology company focused on combatting hospital acquired infections.
Nick holds a B.A. degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Beatrice is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Sperry, Mitchell & Company, an investment banking boutique which specializes in arranging the sale or merger of private mid-market companies. She also co-owns Percival Scientific, a leading Iowa-based manufacturer of biological incubators and plant growth chambers. She is on the Board of Managers at Haverford College, a member of the Executive Committee and on the Board of the InterSchool Orchestras of New York, Chair of the Development Committee on the Board of ICD – The Institute for Career Development, and a member of the Board of Governors of Off the Record, a foreign policy forum.
Beatrice is a regular lecturer at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business; she has also lectured at the Stern School of Business at New York University and the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. She has been widely quoted in the financial and business press, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune, Business Week, Crain’s, USA Today, CNN and National Public Radio. She was also featured in an article in Brown Brothers Harriman’s Women & Wealth Magazine.
Beatrice has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences and forums, including Bloomberg Breakaway Summit, ACG New York’s Annual Women’s Leadership Summit, and Kayo Women’s Private Equity Summit. She has consistently been recognized as one of The Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A by Mergers & Acquisitions. She was also acknowledged as one of the Top USA Women Dealmakers by Global M&A Network.
Beatrice is the co-author of The Complete Guide to Selling Your Business, which is in its third edition and is also published in Chinese.
Beatrice received a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Business School.
Dan is a Partner and serves as a member of the Investment Committee for Comvest’s direct lending strategy. He is responsible for originating, structuring, and managing investments.
Prior to joining Comvest, Dan was a Senior Director with Dymas Capital Management, where he served on the Investment Committee and was instrumental in the formation and growth of the firm from its start-up phase to an established middle-market finance company. He has served as a Managing Director at Square 1 Bank and Kugman Partners, and as an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney. Prior to getting his MBA, Dan began his career with Arthur Andersen and Heller Financial’s Corporate Finance Group.
Dan received an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
Doug has extensive experience in the financial industry. Prior to Huron Capital, Doug was the Managing Director of BMO Private Equity (U.S.), Inc. where he founded the junior capital, direct investing strategy in 2003. He was responsible for leading and managing a $300 million capital commitment focused on investing in middle-market businesses across a variety of industries. Doug started his banking career at American National Bank of Chicago (now part of J.P. Morgan Chase) where he had successive leadership positions in middle market commercial banking, investment banking and mezzanine finance. He started his career with Coopers and Lybrand in Chicago.
Doug has an A.B. degree in Management Science from Duke University; Masters of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and currently serves as a Director of Stay Online, B&B Roadway Security Solutions, Atlantic Beverage Company and Pacific Shoring Products.
Ken is a Principal at Kidd & Company, a family office private investment group, where his responsibilities include deal sourcing/origination, due diligence, transaction execution and financial oversight and governance of portfolio investments. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of NextPhase Medical Devices and Family RV Group. Previously, Ken was a Managing Director at Spencer Trask, an early-stage venture capital firm, where he identified investment opportunities and structured financing transactions for companies in the life sciences, healthcare, information technology, software, and communications sectors. Prior to Spencer Trask, Ken was an investment banker at JPMorgan where he was responsible for execution of capital-raising and M&A transactions. Ken received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
