Summary:
Please join us as a panel of experts focus on understanding entitlement as the key to buying right, financing right and having a successful outcome. This panel will provide an informational edge on land sellers and others competing for good deals in an active but risky marketplace. We will learn what the analysis of current entitlement means in terms of pricing on land, discuss common potential adjustments or changes of entitlement and how the process will play out in the real world, while reviewing actual case studies with both negative and positive outcomes. Moderators
Prior to forming Mount NEBO Capital in 2001, Mr. Blitz served as a Director at Belgravia Capital and its successor firm as well as a partner in a private real estate investment banking firm. After doing construction lending for 8 years, David ran the REO portfolio of a major California regional bank from 91-98.
He has a total of 28 years of real estate experience included acquisitions and dispositions, capital markets, workouts, asset management, development, and financing.
Mr. Blitz has a degree in Architecture from Cooper Union.

Craig Stevens has built a career on his ability to handle the most challenging assignments. As an investor himself, he specializes in bringing an insider perspective to a project or business plan. His extensive network of business relationships include Fortune 500 companies as well as family trusts and entrepreneurial firms who have relied on him for his strategic advice as well as his transactional acumen.
As a 40-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Stevens has successfully represented numerous commercial sales and leasing transactions valued at more than $6 billion. Since January 2003, he has sold property and developed land representing more than 4,200 apartments and condominiums. A respected community leader, Stevens is also a former Vice President of the Board of Directors at the Burbank Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation of Los Angeles.

Lonnie McDermott is a Land & Multi-Family Apartment specialist in the firm's Encino office. As a Land & Multi-Family Specialist, Mr. McDermott exclusively represents buyers and sellers of investment properties throughout the Western United States. Mr. McDermott has more than 10 years experience in the real estate industry and has closed over 30 investment real estate transactions valued over $50 Million during his career. Lonnie McDermott has achieved numerous awards and distinctions, including Pace Setter Award & Rookie of the Year.
Lonnie McDermott graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN and also holds a real estate license in California.

Randall Reel is the Managing Director, Development of LaTerra. Mr. Reel has twenty years of hands-on experience in entitlements, acquisitions, development and project oversight for urban in-fill and high- rise multifamily development, including mixed-use properties with retail and creative office components. Most of Mr. Reel’s projects ranged from 300-1,200 units with up to 40,000 square feet of retail and involved obtaining significant entitlement approvals.
Prior to joining LaTerra, Mr. Reel was Director of Acquisitions at Carmel Partners, a private equity development company with major multifamily projects in transit oriented locations and in the Downtown Los Angeles Art Districts. Prior to Carmel, Mr. Reel worked at GH Palmer & Associates, Molasky Pacific, StorAmerica and Highridge Partners.
Mr. Reel’s experience includes undertaking detailed financial analyses, market research and due diligence investigations during the acquisition phase and then working closely with project architects, engineers, contactors and governmental officials during entitlements and construction. He expands LaTerra’s network of business relationships through his industry contacts with property owners, brokers, governmental officials, lenders and institutional equity funds. These contacts will be valuable in accessing strategic acquisitions, procuring entitlement approvals and structuring capital and joint venture arrangements.
Mr. Reel graduated with a BA Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, with concentrations in real estate and finance.
